Einlass: 19:00 Uhr Beginn: 20:00 Uhr Smerz – das sind Henriette Motzfeldt und Catharina Stoltenberg aus Norwegen, beheimatet in Oslo und Kopenhagen. Im Mai 2025 erschien ihr zweites Album "Big City Life" auf dem dänischen Label Escho. In collagenhaften Skizzen aus Alltag und Tagtraum erzählen Smerz von Apathie und Einsamkeit, von Liebe und Freundschaft, von dem, was man erlebt und dem, was man sich ausmalt. Ihre Musik kennt keine Genregrenzen: klassische Kompositionstechniken treffen auf elektronisches Experiment und die Direktheit von Pop – verpackt in mädchenhaften Existenzialismus. Ihre Diskografie umfasst das von der Kritik gefeierte Debüt “Believer”, die EPs "Have fun" und “Okey”, das Pop-Fantasy-Projekt "ALLINA" sowie das Chorstück "Tidligere den dagen" mit dem Vokalensemble GAEA, erschienen auf ihrem eigenen Label Shopping. Live waren Smerz u.a. in folgenden Locations zu erleben: Tate Modern, MOCA Geffen, Berghain und an der Volksbühne, beim MIRA Festival mit Weirdcore, im KODE mit der Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance und beim Club To Club. Ob Chor-Performance im MUNCH Museum oder Soundtrack für Fashion-Runways – Smerz erschaffen Klangwelten, die es so noch nicht gab.
