Jah Lil (born Jerome Adrian Smith) is a rising reggae artist from Kingston, Jamaica, whose music is defined by its depth, soulfulness, and conscious messages. His journey began at the age of six when he discovered his singing talent, impressing audiences at Rousseau Primary School during morning devotions and concerts. At Jamaica College, he joined the school’s first ‚All Together Sing‘ choir, further honing his skills. Remarkably, Jah Lil is a self-taught singer, songwriter, and keyboardist, attributing his musical gifts to divine inspiration. In 2011, Jah Lil collaborated with producer John Williams of Almond Productions, winning the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Gospel Song Competition with „Weeping Men,“ earning awards for best lyrics, best-arranged song, and best performance. His unique vocal style caught the attention of producer Danny Brownie of Main Street Records, leading to the release of „One Wrong One Right“ in 2014, which garnered international airplay. His recent single „Warn Yuh,“ produced by Xterminator, has further solidified his reputation, offering a profound message encapsulated in the line: „The secret of life is deep within. Find love and you find everything.“ In 2024, Jah Lil released his critically acclaimed album „Can a Man Cry,“ exploring emotional and social themes that resonate deeply with listeners. The album has amassed nearly 3 million streams and paved the way for a successful European summer tour, featuring electrifying performances at festivals and clubs. With upcoming tours across Asia, Australia, and Europe in 2025, Jah Lil continues to share his music with fans worldwide, staying true to his mission of inspiring hope, love, and resilience through reggae.
