Mama Demba (River Ramos) is a true archaeologist of Lusophone music. He feels most at home among the records, preferably controlling a sweaty and inclusive dance floor. He is an excellent groove cook, bringing together sounds from Cape Verde, Angola, Guinea Bissau, São Tomé and Principe and the West Indies in a huge pot. The party is guaranteed! Mama Demba breathes music, a Cape Verdean based in Lisbon, he owns one of the best record collections of African music, co-founder of Tabanka Records, member of the Badju D Terra Sound System Collective and the Mindel Reggae Family.
