The presentation of the book Wallonia-Brussels Architecture Inventories#4: Towards Regenerative Architecture accompanies the exhibition presented at TU Graz from November 4 to 22, 2025. This 4th volume of the book examines innovative spatial strategies that seek to repair and reimagine our damaged world. Through case studies, essays, and visual documentation, it highlights practices that prioritize densifying existing buildings over consuming new land, regeneration over demolition, and reuse of construction materials over waste. The book presents exemplary projects in Wallonia and Brussels by AgwA, Artau Architectures, Label Architecture, Notan Office, Olivier Fourneau Architectes, and Ouest Architecture x Rotor DC. Each project illustrates how architecture can be a driver of spatial, environmental, and social transition. Far more than a catalogue, Réappropriations is a call to rethink the role of architecture in an age of ecological urgency. It showcases how architectural practices can be reappropriated as tools for care, resilience, and collective renewal. Enriched by contributions from Jan Haeren (OUEST Architecture) and Julien Delmotte (AgwA), the presentation of this book also opens a space for exchange and discussion.
