Bild THE VIOLENT YOUTH: Founded in Minsk, Belarus, and based since 2017 in Augsburg, Germany - The Violent Youth - an international new wave, post punk duo led by a belarussian singer and multi-instumentalist Arthur Tsymbal together with Julian Riegel on bass. As part of the Belarusian Post-Punk scene its influences lie in synth-pop, post-punk and wave of the 80s. Yet, The Violent Youth songs still have a very distinctive sound to them that make them unique. Having started its ascent from the Minsk underground post-punk scene, TVY entered the European scene with a confident step. Sharing the stage with german and international artists (like Drangsal, Edwin Rosen, Ploho or Nuovo Testamento) and releasing DIY music videos, The Violent Youth gains more attention all over the world. The Violent Youth’s third LP „Tam, Gde Nas Net“(eng. – ,the grass is always greener on the other side‘) from 2020 also somewhat counts as a first – the first album in Russian that showcased a new, darker sound. Tsymbal deals with everyday topics such as love, distance between people, loss - but at the same time manages to capture the silver lining and shows hope for a change for the better. With a wave of new fans, „Tam Gde Nas Net“ can be considered The Violent Youth’s breakthrough album. The last album „Na igle“ (eng. - ,addicted‘) was released in early 2024 on Artoffact Records. The associated tour led the duo through Germany, Austria, Hungary and finally to Mexiko, where they accompanied the legendary russian post-punk trio Ploho on tour. Currently The Violent Youth are working on a new full lenght album. https://violentyouth.bandcamp.com/music Bild BERLIN 2.0: „Kaltental“ – die Death-Pop-Panzerfaust von BERLIN 2.0 aus Stuttgart Vergesst alles, was ihr dachtet, über Postpunk zu wissen – BERLIN 2.0 zünden die Endstufe in der Punk-Evolution.
