Isabella Forciniti - The Composer Performer as Temporal Agent: Sound, Technology and Non-Linear Temporalities (host Klien) This lecture explores how contemporary sound practices challenge linear notions of time and open spaces for alternative modes of listening, performing, and composing. Spanning media composition, film scoring, sound art, and media studies, the lecture examines how sound can function as a temporal agent of rupture, transforming the ways in which we perceive and experience time. The lecture proposes a perspective on the composer–performer model as a site where body, technology, and sound converge to negotiate time as queer, fractured, and unstable. A short interactive component will invite participants to work with loops, glitches, and fragments, highlighting how minimal shifts in sound can alter temporal perception. Ultimately, the lecture asks: What occurs when music resists linear progression and instead embraces multiplicity and rupture?
