As we collectively risk buckling under the pressure of our glorified independence - carrying the sky on our shoulders alone to prevent it from falling to earth - ROTOR asks whether another movement is possible. Inspired by the works The Burnout Society and Vita Contemplativa by philosopher Byung-Chul Han, this performance explores the questions: who carries which responsibility, and above all, what does it mean to carry it together? In a world of increasing pressure, burnouts and growing individualism, can we lighten the weight by working together and sharing responsibility? Amid the chaos of our fast-paced lives, ROTOR searches for stability and calm. What if this lies in connection with others? In an almost sensory experience, they reveal the beauty of shared responsibility. What if, rather than carrying the sky alone like Atlas, we carry it together?
