Seine erste Dichterlesung hatte er vor 36 Jahren in der Stadtwerkstatt Linz. Seither ist King Poet Flati konsequent unterwegs, literarische Veröffentlichungen gab es bisher allerdings keine. Dafür sind seine Performances legendär, wo er – mit oder ohne Band – seinen amerikanischen Akzent aufsetzt und energisch Geschichten erzählt über die dunkelsten Ecken von Los Angeles, Mexico City oder Guatemala. Diese Orte hat er nur im Geiste bereist, was aber seiner Phantasie keinen Abbruch tut, ganz im Gegenteil: Das „echte“ Amerika würde gegen King Poet Flatis Visionen ordentlich abstinken. Text: Rokko
