Wat in 1992 begon als springplank naar het Europese vasteland voor Britse bands (Blur, Slowdive, Placebo) is inmiddels in meer dan 30 jaar uitgegroeid tot een showcasefestival voor bands van over de hele wereld. Door de jaren heen zijn acts als Blur, Slowdive, Fontaines D.C., Florence + The Machine, The Murder Capital, Tame Impala, Japanese Breakfast en recentelijk nog Wet Leg, The Last Dinner Party, STONE, Royel Otis en Flipturn in Paradiso geboekt, voordat ze deze locatie ruim ontgroeiden. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
