Starting from her own experience R.Y.F. tries to give voice to diversity, to the queer community and its struggles with society and eteronormativity, to non binary people and all the fabulous creatures on Earth. After a few years and albums of intimate songwriting based on vocals and guitar, the fourth album from the solo project of Italy’s Francesca Morello, Everything Burns refuses to be confined by genre or emotional extremes, and is instead the synchronistic coexistence of opposites. It is music you could dance or destroy a room to, a cathartic balance of suffering and jubilation—an electropunk disco steeped in queer, feminist subversion. Deep Dark Blue, R.Y.F.‘s fourth studio album, arose from software and analog instruments and was then developed with Maurizio “Icio” Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher), who also took care of recording, production, mixing and mastering at the music studio La Distilleriain Bassano del Grappa. Matteo Vallicelli (The Soft Moon, Death Index) participated in the production of some tracks. Although it flows with compact fluidity, the album highlights R.Y.F.‘s mastery in expressing herself through different stylistic genres.
