Arrebentação: Im Portugiesischen meint das jene Zone des Ufers, wo die Welle bricht. Ein Augenblick der Spannung, und zur selben Zeit der Ruhe. In diesen Zwischenzustand taucht das hypnotische Gruppenstück des*der brasilianischen Choreograf*in Catol Teixeira ein. Hier treffen sich die fünf Performer*innen, entschlossen, noch ein wenig länger auszuharren in der (nur vielleicht gemeinsamen) Erwartung. Es entstehen bewegte Körpertableaus zwischen Gruppe und Vereinzelung, Bekenntnis und Geheimnis, Halt und Fall – eine „Verschwörung ohne vorher festgelegtes Narrativ“.

Arrebentação: Portuguese for the specific area at shore in which the wave crashes. A moment of tension, and at the same time of tranquility. This is the suspended state which the hypnotic group piece by Brasilian choreographer Catol Teixeira is immersed in; where the five performers meet, determined to dwell on this (only possibly) collective expectation just a little more. Moving tableaux of bodies come into being, oscillating between group and isolation, confession and secret, grip and plunge – a “conspiracy without a predetermined narrative”.
