Via Erasmus „Klangphilosophie: Der Kompositionszyklus Ethica" In diesem Vortrag werden Hintergrund und Entstehungsprozess des Kompositionszyklus Ethica (2017-2022) von nach Philosophen Baruch Spinoza (1632-1677) erläutert. Dániel Péter Biró (geboren 1969) ist Professor für Komposition an der Universität von Bergen in Norwegen. Er studierte in Budapest, Frankfurt, Bern, Würzburg, Tel Aviv und Wien. Im Jahr 2004 promovierte er an der Princeton University mit einer Dissertation über mündliche Traditionen und die Entwicklung der Notation Anhang Beispiele von ungarischen Klageliedern, jüdische Tora-Rezitation und Gregorianische Gesang vom St. Gallen. Von 2004-2009 unterrichtete er Komposition und Musiktheorie an der University of Victoria in Victoria, BC, Kanada. Im Jahr 2011 war er Gast-Professor an der Universität Utrecht. In 2014-2015 war er Fellow am Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study der Harvard University. In 2017-2018 war er Fellow der John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.
