De Belgische metalband Amenra ontstond begin jaren 2000 met een veelzijdig geluid dat geworteld is in de genres doom, sludge, post-metal en hardcore punk. De groep debuteerde in 2003 met 'Mass I' en bleef grenzen verleggen met bejubelde albums als 'Mass V' (2012) en 'De Doorn' (2021). Amenra bestaat momenteel uit vocalist Colin H. van Eeckhout, gitarist Mathieu Vandekerckhove, drummer Bjorn Lebon, gitarist Lennart Bossu en bassist Amy Tung Barrysmith. Met laatste album 'De Doorn' doorbrak de band hun reeks 'Mass'-albums, waarbij ze van gitzwart naar een lichtere expressie bewegen. Volgens de band is dit het album dat het ware gezicht van Amenra laat zien, met meer storytelling, meer akoestische partijen en tot slot in de taal die het dichtste bij hen staat: Vlaams. Accept cookies How to get to Paradiso Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso.
