Na een geslaagde show in 2024 komt het instrumentele indie trio dit voorjaar terug naar Paradiso. Cocobolo heeft altijd een zwak gehad voor de rauwe energie van de klassieke surfsound uit de jaren 60. Die mix van galmende gitaren, open drums en ongepolijste drive vormt dan ook de ruggengraat van Cocobolo’s eigen geluid. Om die roots te eren, brengen zij in het voorjaar van 2026 hun nieuwe EP 'Shooting From the Hip' uit. Vijf instrumentale tracks waarin de echo van de surf en western sounds uit de sixties rammelend, rafelig en vol beweging doorklinken. Precies 65 jaar na de release van Dick Dale’s ‘Let’s Go Trippin’, die veelal wordt beschouwd als de geboorte van de surfmuziek. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso.
