Fresh off being featured in this year's NME 100 list, digital hardcore duo femtanyl have just released their official debut album MAN BITES DOG – out now. Spanning ten tracks, MAN BITES DOG is an all-encompassing look into the high-energy, techno-glitch sound that femtanyl have been pioneering over the past three years. Drawing inspiration from a diverse palette that includes experimental Rave, Dance and Footwork, femtanyl embraces a DIY Punk ethos in the creation of their hardcore sound. MAN BITES DOG continues this trend, representing only some of the work accomplished during a "particularly chaotic year of one-on-one collaboration". Writing the majority of the album by sending project files remotely between Toronto and Seattle, MAN BITES DOG was created without any confining thoughts of adhering to a specific genre. "The end result is an album that stands as an unabashed love-letter to our favorite music, movies and books that we bonded over during this period; it is also a deeply frustrated reaction to the forces that pushed our collaborative process to be remote in the first place", femtanyl say on its creation. The release of their official debut album MAN BITES DOG follows the project's two recently-released lead singles, "HEAD UP" and the early December single, "BODY THE PISTOL", and arrives before the duo embarks on a 19-date U.S. tour across February and April before they make their festival debut at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound in June. Founded in 2023, femtanyl, comprised of members Noelle (Vocals, production) and Juno (production, multi-instrumentalist), has quickly risen to notoriety for their breakneck pace and frantic, distorted soundscapes. They have slowly amassed a rabid online cult since the release of their 2024 breakout project REACTOR – which earned critical acclaim from Pitchfork (6.9) – and songs like "KATAMARI" (65M+ Streams), "GIRL HELL 1999" (50M+ Streams), and "PUSH UR T3MPRR" (42M+ Streams). Subsequent tour support for Machine G
