Die brasilianische Musikerin Mariá Portugal ist Kuratorin des diesjährigen „unlimited“-Festivals, das unter dem Motto „The Navel of the Dream“ steht. Sie präsentiert ein Programm mit rund 60 Musiker:innen aus aller Welt, wobei ein besonderer Schwerpunkt auf Künstler:innen aus Lateinamerika liegt. Ihr ambitioniertes Projekt vereint Musiker:innen aus unterschiedlichsten Ländern und Szenen und spannt einen Bogen von experimenteller Musik, freier Improvisation und Jazz bis hin zu Electronica, Noise und Punk. Anlässlich der 40. (Jubiläums)Ausgabe des unlimited-Festivals beginnt das Programm heuer bereits am Donnerstag, dem 5. November, um 19.30 Uhr in der Welser Paschilhalle (ehemalige Waagenfabrik, Freiung 37) mit einer Ausstellung und einem Konzert des französischen Perkussionstrios OTTO. Der Eintritt zu dieser Eröffnungsveranstaltung ist frei! Neben dem Alten Schl8hof finden die Konzerte erneut in der Landesmusikschule sowie im Bildungshaus Schloss Puchberg statt.
