KestheBand uit Trinidad en Tobago groeide sinds hun oprichting in 2005 van carnavalsfavoriet uit tot ambassadeurs van het Caribische geluid op internationale podia. Onder leiding van Kees Dieffenthaller, beter bekend als Kes, mengen ze moeiteloos soca, calypso, reggae, r＆b en pop. Hits als ‘Wotless’, ‘Hello’ en ‘Savannah Grass’ en samenwerkingen met Shaggy, Snoop Dogg, Wizkid en Major Lazer laten zien hoe veelzijdig ze zijn, en hoe ritme, melodie en energie in alles wat ze doen doorstromen. Op het podium is KestheBand één groot Carabisch feest, waar samenzang, ritme en gemeenschapsgevoel centraal staan. Na uitverkochte shows in New York en Toronto en jaarlijkse Carnival-optredens in Trinidad brengen ze dit feestje in mei naar Tolhuistuin. Accept cookies How to get to Tolhuistuin Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein. Restaurant Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show.
