Birgit Birnbacher *1986 in Schwarzach/Pongau ist Sozialarbeiterin und Soziologin. Seit 2012 schreibt sie vielfach ausgezeichnete literarische Texte und Romane, u.a. gewann sie 2019 den Ingeborg-Bach- mann-Preis. Ihre Romane „Ich an meiner Seite“ (2020) und „Wovon wir leben“ (2023) fanden sich mehrfach auf internationalen Bestenlisten. Ihren letzten, „Sie wollen uns erzählen“ (2026), wird sie beim Festival vorstellen.
