Wort. Witz. Wirkung. St. Pölten bekommt eine neue Bühne für alles, was Sprache vermag. Am 23. April um 19 Uhr feiert der PÖetry Slam seine Premiere im Freiraum St. Pölten – ein Abend, an dem sich Poesie, Performance und Publikum begegnen. Das moderne und allseits beliebte Pop-Literaturformat kommt nun auch endlich direkt ins Herz Niederösterreichs. Drei Stars der deutschsprachigen Poetry Slam Szene sorgen für Wortwitz, Sprachakrobatik und Gänsehaut-Geschichten, während ein Singer/Songwriter-Feature dem Abend eine musikalische Seele verleiht. Doch nicht nur die Bühne, auch das Publikum spielt eine Hauptrolle: Wer den Mut hat, kann sich über eine offene Liste einen Platz auf der Bühne sichern – gelost wird live. Darüber hinaus fungiert das Publikum als Jury und bestimmt, wer schlussendlich als Sieger*in nachhause gehen darf. Moderiert wird die Reihe von Katharina Wenty, mehrfach ausgezeichnete Spoken-Word-Künstlerin, Moderatorin und Gründerin des Vereins Poetry slam’md – Verein für Bühnenkunst, Literatur und Jugendkultur.
