The Divine Comedy is het muzikale alter ego van de Noord-Ierse singer-songwriter Neil Hannon. Hij staat bekend om zijn scherpzinnige barokpop, waarin hij humor en literaire verwijzingen verweeft met gelaagde symfonische muziek. Zijn doorbraak kwam in 1996 met het album ‘Casanova’, gevolgd door het succesvolle ‘Fin de Siècle’ in 1998, met de hit ‘National Express’. Naast zijn werk met The Divine Comedy heeft Hannon ook muziek gecomponeerd voor populaire Britse tv-series zoals Father Ted en The IT Crowd. In 2022 vierde hij het 30-jarig jubileum van de band met de release van de boxset ‘Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time’, een uitgebreide verzameling van geremasterde albums en nieuw materiaal. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso.
