Als 2010 das Album „Gas Mask“ der Detroiter Gruppe THE LEFT erschien, war APOLLO BROWN nur den wenigsten als Producer bekannt, was sich aber mit diesem Meisterwerk für immer ändern sollte. Alle Zutaten waren bereits am Start: schlau gechoppte Samples aus der Soul und Library Ecke, knackige Drums und mit JOURNALIST 103 ein MC, der weiss wie man mit solchen Brettern umgeht. Dazu Cuts von DJ Soko und so gingen die drei 2011 auf ihre erste Europatour, und ja, ihre allererste Show sollte sie in die KAPU führen. Heuer werden also 15 Jahre „Gas Mask“ gefeiert, und weil Detroit against everybody noch immer gilt, kommt als Bonuszuckerl unser allseits geschätzter Rapper GUILTY SIMPSON noch mit auf Tour, der nicht nur die Tracks seines von Apollo Brown produzierten Albums „Dice Game“ zum Besten geben wird, sondern sicher auch die Highlights seines Schaffens aus der J Dilla bis Madlib Ecke.
