Nummers als ‘Wait’ en ‘Freak Like Me’ groeiden uit tot fanfavorieten en hielpen hem een toegewijde internationale fanbase op te bouwen. Zijn derde studioalbum 'DIÁSPORA', dat vorig jaar uitkwam, produceerde NoMBe volledig zelf. Hij verwerkte de nasleep van een tumultueuze relatiebreuk door zich volledig in muziek te storten. West-Afrikaanse, Caribische en Braziliaanse dansmuziek dienden als inspiratie en hielpen hem zijn eigen balans te vinden tussen wat hij omschrijft als ‘new disco’ en ‘indie world music’.
